Dear Professor Robinson,

Thank you for your note. Yes, a lot of us are puzzling through the kinds of organizational structural issues you raise here. I'll just add a layer: the Harvard STS program had almost no money for fellows. To be in the program, you had to bring your own resources (which has long been a point of critique from folks from the Global South, for whom this was a very real hardship). But it also may be true that the folks who brought their own money had no or almost no real formal connection to the Kennedy School itself. How, for instance, was Sheila apparently able to simply dismiss a fellow who claimed to have been sexually harassed? In most institutional settings, there would be a number of formal procedural steps to be taken before that could happen.

All of which is a long way of saying I too am interested thinking down the paths you are pointing here.
